I like the writing of Terry Spear and was intrigued by the premise. Unlike her other works, the idea was the only interesting part - the characters were flat, dialogue inconsistent, and the protagonist seemed motivated by the necessities of the storyline rather than by her own moral code. The conclusion of the story (and it is a story rather than a novel or novella) occurs compliments of a deus ex machina that is astonishing in its lack of cohesion with the rest of the piece as well as in its speed. Unanswered questions abound, leaving the impression that either this was unedited, was a first draft, or was a very early work of Spear's.Product details

Hera and Zeus have different ideas about sex, love and fulfillment. Hera believes all mortals and immortals must be loved to feel complete. Zeus believes physical satisfaction is good enough for fulfillment.
Lisandra is a librarian, who has lived a sheltered life when it comes to men. She is the perfect candidate for the gods' game. Zeus sends Assarian, the demi-god of pleasure, to seduce Lisandra. Only Assarian finds the task not as simple as he had thought.
Lisandra may be inexperienced, but the woman knows what she wants out of a relationship and won't settle for less. Assarian thought he could seduce and forget the woman. He soon finds out there's more to romance and love than a quick tumble in bed.
Be prepared for the gods to entertain you in this short romantic tale. Be sure to check out Terry Spear's paranormal romances. You won't be disappointed.
